As we head into the second half of the summer, I wanted to take a moment to thank all of our players, coaches, and families for making our first year as a club such a memorable one.
One of the things I'm most proud of is the culture we've continued to build. This summer, we've had players from Lincoln, Omaha, Fremont, and surrounding communities skating together. Some came from house hockey, some from select programs, some from travel teams, and others were simply looking for another opportunity to develop. Watching these players come together, encourage one another, and improve throughout the summer has been incredibly rewarding!
Squirt Team
Our Squirt coaches Nick and Tim have done an outstanding job leading a group with a wide range of experience and skill levels. This summer they brought home two runner-up finishes (Smashville Showdown, 10U B, and Mile High Cup, 10UB) and a championship from South Dakota Selects Invitational (10U B)! Congratulations to all of our Squirt players, coaches, assistants, families, and friends on a fantastic summer!
Peewee Team
Our Peewees continued to grow throughout the summer, their team consisted of an even mix of 2015 and 2016 birthyears, all of which had no experience at the peewee level until this summer. The improvement from tournament to tournament has been exciting to watch! They went from a 1-3 weekend in Smashville, to splitting the weekend at the Mile High Cup and holding fast against more experienced teams. Coach Cody continues to develop players beyond anything measurable as these kids gain confidence, teamwork, and game experience. Thank you, Coach Cody and Coach Tevin, for all your hard work this summer!
Bantam Team
Our Bantams embraced the opportunity to compete together while continuing to develop individually and as a team. Thank you to our coaches and families for helping create a positive environment that challenged players while keeping the game fun! We had a rocky start in Smashville, in which we withdrew from our final consolation match due to injuries. Coaches Kenny, Wilber, and Kyle molded the team into a championship competitor, where they went 4-0 at the Mile High Cup; but ultimately finished in second place. Excellent work to our bantams!
We're exploring entering teams in the Route 66 Cup in Springfield, Missouri, on August 22–23 for 12U B & 14U B.
Team entry is $1,100 per team. Player cost will depend on final roster size. Email Hillary if interested!
Many of you have been asking, and we're excited to announce that Flight School will return for the 2026–27 season!
We're putting the finishing touches on this year's program, and registration will open in August. More details will be shared soon.
